Purchasing a New Bee Hive and Colony
Learning to keep bees is a wonderful and exciting journey. I would love to be part of this experience with you.
There is a bit of a learning curve that goes along with keeping bees. We want to make sure that when the bees are placed on your property, you know how to
* safely open the hive up
* perform a basic inspection
* identify the different types of bees (workers, drones, queen)
* identify honey, pollen, nectar
* identify capped brood and uncapped brood (eggs, larvae)
We also want to ensure that you will know how to manage the bees through the year to give them the highest chance of survival.
Texas Bee Services offers the following:
* Set up of the hive. We will set up the platform and hive so the bees can safely reside on your property
* Install the colony of bees: We will place the nucleus colony of bees inside your new hive.
* One-on-one introduction to the management of the bees where we will go over the items listed above.
In addition to the = one-on-one introduction to the management and maintenance of the bees you will have access to a monthly zoom call where we discuss what we should be seeing in the hive and how to go about managing anything that is of concern.
