Why Treatment Free?
The bees know best. They’ve been on this planet for 150 million years. They don’t need our help to survive. That’s why we believe excessive intervention and synthetic treatments ultimately do more harm than good.
This is also why we do not sell honey. Most beekeepers take substantial reserves of honey every summer. As a replacement, beekeepers supplement with an inferior substitute – sugar water. This may prevent starvation but the stress and poor nutrition leave their immune systems weakened. The bees produce the honey because they need it to stay healthy, so we let them keep it.
If we can provide a safe area for the bees to thrive and treat them with the respect and care they deserve, treatment is simply not necessary.
